Thangalan is a historical action film starring Chiyan Vikram in the lead role. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film is produced by noted producer KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner of Studio Green Films in association with Neelam Productions. Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan play the lead roles. Thangalan is set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Mine and is based on true events. The film is scheduled to release in theatres worldwide on August 15, coinciding with Independence Day. Mythri Movie Distribution will be handling the Telugu release. The press conference for ‘Tangalan’ was held in Vijayawada today. Speaking at the event, Hero Vikram said, “I am happy to be in Vijayawada to promote ‘Tangalan’.
