The Telugu Film Directors Association hosted a special event, the Darshaka Sanjeevani Mahotsavam, to distribute health insurance cards to its members. The event, held in Hyderabad, was graced by star hero Vijay Devarakonda as the chief guest. The program saw the participation of notable figures including Director’s Association President Veera shankar, Vice-President Sai Rajesh, Producer TG Vishwa prasad, Writer Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Director-Producer Tammareddy Bharadwaj, along with many members of the Directors’ Association and several celebrities from the film industry. The health insurance cards, named Dasari Health Cards in honor of the late legendary director Dasari Narayana Rao, were presented to the members by the guests. The event was organized under the auspices of Shreyas Media.
Director’s Association President Veerashankar stated, “Since our committee’s election, we have focused on welfare programs. Initially, we provided 25 thousand rupees to members in need, which was later increased to one lakh rupees. However, many members suggested that health insurance would be more beneficial. We promised to provide free health insurance to those who needed it without utilizing the association’s capital. As promised, Oriental Insurance Company agreed to provide the health cards. We have issued insurance to 1920 people and their families, out of 720 applicants. This initiative was started by our director Sai Rajesh, who is the Karta, Karma, and Kriya. It is an honor to have Hero Vijay Devarakonda, Producer TG Vishwaprasad, and other dignitaries join us today.”
Sai Rajesh, Vice-President of the Director’s Association, added, “Upon learning that our members were struggling without health cards, we made it a top priority. The film industry responded generously, with Prabhas contributing 35 lakhs, producer SKN 10 lakhs, and Bunny Vas and UV Vamsi also providing financial support. Selecting the right health insurance took time, but Hero Vijay Devarakonda’s presence at our event is deeply appreciated. His foundation has helped hundreds, and I hope that none of you will need to use these health cards.”
Hero Vijay Devarakonda expressed, “I am honored to be part of this significant event organized by the Directors’ Association. I understand the challenges faced by dreamers, having witnessed their struggles before becoming a hero myself. There is no guaranteed income or future, but you persist in pursuing your dreams.
