Starring Ustad Ram Pothineni and up-and-coming director Puri Jagannadh, the film Double ISMART will have a total of six songs. Today, the film’s fourth single “Big Bull” was launched in Mumbai. The event was attended by the entire team, including Ram, Puri, Sanjay Dutt, Kavya Thapar and Charm Kaur.
Speaking at the event, Puri Jagannadh said, “After writing the script, we discussed the characters and Baba Sanjuzo’s name was on everyone’s lips. I promise you that this story is much better than the first part.” “Ram’s energy is twice as great as his character’s in the first part. The film features six great songs, energetic performances from Kavya and Ali’s comedy. Sanjay Dutt’s character in particular is an absolute highlight.”
Sanjay Dutt said, “I am a huge fan of Puri. He revolutionised Telugu cinema with his unique style of swagger and cool. I am thankful to him for making me a part of Double ISMART and making it the Big Bull. Charmme’s tenacity and determination is what makes the product so impressive. It was a lot of fun working with Ram. He is like a younger brother to me.” He is a hardworking and talented actor. I had a great time working with him in Bangkok. I hope you all enjoy it too.”
Ram said, “A lot of people from the north watch South Indian films. We have loyal fans who have been requesting the film to be released since they had to wait more than a year before. Now, we are releasing the Hindi version of the film on the same day. Most of the film was shot in Mumbai, just like iSmart Shankar. I was lucky to witness the insanity of iSmart Shankar here too. The character is characterised by “collective mental insanity”. A little disclaimer: I do not endorse him. If you are inspired and follow his example, you will surely find yourself in jail within 30 minutes. Just watch him on screen. He is truly insane. I loved the way Puri sir wrote this character for me. It’s always an experience for an actor to play a role that is beyond his real-life imagination. Sanjay Dutt is the highlight. I don’t know how Chaam managed to secure a date but after watching the film recently, I can’t imagine anyone else playing the role of Big Bull. I wouldn’t call this his Telugu debut as he is a superstar everywhere. He is like a quiet saint. It has been an honour to work with Baba Sanjuzo. Puri is someone who introduced heroism with attitude. He is an absolute star and a trendsetter.”
Double ISMART will be released worldwide on August 15.
