Hansika Motwani is set to showcase her versatility in a dual role in her upcoming horror-thriller, Sri Gandhari. Directed and produced by filmmaker R Kannan under his Masala Pix banner, this marks a significant collaboration between Hansika and the director, who previously worked together on the 2013 film Settai, which was a remake of Delhi Belly.
The film is being brought to Telugu audiences by Raju Nayak of Lachhuram Productions, in partnership with Saraswati Developers, and is presented by Vikram Kumar Rejintala. The makers are planning to release the movie in December. The trailer and other promotional material received a superb response.
Hansika portrays a young woman who serves as the head officer of the Hindu Trust Committee. Her character embarks on an intriguing journey as she takes on a research project concerning the ancient monument of ‘Gandharva Kota’. This centuries-old fort, built by a king, holds deep secrets that set the stage for the unfolding suspense and horror in the story.
The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring talented actors such as Metro Sirish, Mayilsamy, Thalaivasal Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, Stunt Silva, Vinodhini, Pavan, Brigida Saga, Vadivel Murugan, and Kalairani.
The story of Sri Gandhari is provided by Tholkappiyan, with Dhananjayan penning the screenplay. The technical crew includes cinematographer Balasubramanian, music composer LV Ganesh Muthu, editor Jijinthra, and stunt director Silva.
With its blend of mystery, suspense, and horror, Sri Gandhari is poised to captivate audiences, and the film promises to offer a thrilling ride.
