Versatile and veteran actor Rao Ramesh is coming up with Maruthinagar Subramanyam, a proper family entertainer. The Lakshman Karya directorial is produced by Bujji Rayudu Pentyala and Mohan Karya under PBR Cinemas and Lokamaatre Creations. The musical promotions of the film have gotten underway with the arrival of the first song from the film, Nenu Subramanyam which has opened to a very positive response.
Nenu Subramanyam is a groovy dance number composed by Kalyan Nayak and it has the energetic vocals of Ram Miryala. The lyrics by Bhaskarabatle wittily brings us closer to the character of our Subramanyam aka Rao Ramesh. This follows an innovative first look launch by public through a QR code that happened for the first time in Tollywood.
Nenu Subramanyam is an instant chartbuster and it has started to trend big time on social media with the like of Anjali Arora, the Instagram famous Kacha Badam girl, and scores of other social media celebrities sharing their dance reels on this song.
‘Ee Rojullo’, which was originally released in theatres in the year 2012, will be re-released in theatres on March 23. The youthful entertainer was such a big hit upon its release 12 years ago. It is remarkable that this film is being re-released on the same day (read March 23) twelve years since its first release. Everyone wants to see this youthful entertainer in theatres, for it is regarded as a trendsetter. Directed by creative director Maruthi and produced under the banner of Good Cinema Group, the film featured Srinivas and Reshma in lead roles. JB composed the music. SKN and Shreyas Srinivas produced the movie. A press meet was held today in Hyderabad.
On this occasion, director Maruthi said that he is very happy to re-release his breakout movie after 12 years of its release. “This is a fun film made on a very small budget. And it changed our lives for good. The journey of all three of us associated with the movie has been successful for the past 12 years. This movie is an inspiration to many people. That’s why we are re-releasing it. SKN and Srinivas feel we have to do our best to remind everyone of the sweet memories of this film. I am very happy to see the movie which was released 12 years back now on the big screen. This is the movie that turned our lives around. I want everyone to remember this sweet memory and enjoy watching the movie again,” Maruthi added.
Producer SKN said that this is a very special film in the career of all three of them. “This is a trendsetter movie that kept us all busy to date. ‘Ee Rojullo’ is the film that has given a talented director like Maruthi to the Telugu film industry. This is the movie that gave us all a good career. From ‘Ee Rojullo’, my journey as a producer continued with ‘Baby’ and other movies. Srinivas’ career continues very successfully, and so also Maruthi’s. This is not just a re-release. This movie is a sweet reminder of how we have grown in our careers in the past 12 years. After the release of this movie, many wondered how we could make it in just Rs 50 lakh. Our talent was recognized. Many people have contributed to this success. It is a pleasure to see such a movie again on the silver screen,” he added.
